There are a number of differences between LG A1 and CX besides few similarities that we have talked above. Let’s talk more about their differences together.

1. Picture Processor and AI Picture

The picture processor integrated with LG A1 and CX are different. LG A1 is powered by α7 Gen4 AI Processor 4K while LG CX is powered by α9 Gen 3 AI Processor 4K. While α7 Gen4 AI Processor 4K is the newer version picture processor, but α9 Gen 3 AI Processor 4K is indeed the more advanced one. So we can find that α9 Gen 3 AI Processor 4K is able to delivers better optimization for the color, clarity and contrast on the screen of LG CX although the difference is not that significant. We can also find that LG A1 comes with AI Picture while LG CX already comes with AI Picture Pro. Which One Should be Your Choice?

While it comes as part of the newer 2021 TV series, LG A1 is positioned lower than LG CX. Which of them should be your choice? LG A1 is only a good choice if it’s offered at the lower price. As the basic series from LG’s 2021 TV lineup, LG A1 comes with less powerful α7 picture processor that completed with only AI Picture. It also comes with only 60Hz native refresh rate without G-SYNC, FreeSync and VRR support. The speaker system of LG A1 is also only 2Ch 20W with only AI Sound. It comes with more powerful LG α9 picture processor with AI Picture Pro for better picture optimization and enhancement, 120Hz native refresh rate with G-SYNC, FreeSync and VRR support for more immersive gaming experience as well as better sound quality with 2.2Ch 40W speaker system completed with AI Sound Pro. It’s even better if you find LG CX offered at the lower price than LG A1.
